Pre-Cut Sauna Rooms Are Easy to Install

You can custom design a unique home sauna with pre-cut sauna rooms that are ideally suited for residential applications. Precut material packages are not to be confused with pre-built or prefabricated home saunas where the wall and ceiling panels snap together to form a freestanding sauna room. These kits are customizable for any type of situation and greatly simplify the sauna installation.

Pre-cut sauna kits are for installation in an existing room that you want to convert into a home sauna. If there aren’t any suitable rooms in your home you will need to construct, insulate and wire a frame prior to installing the kit. These kits are designed to provide you with all the material needed for the inside of the sauna room. By precutting the interior wall and ceiling panels, benches and trim at the manufacturer’s site, you cut down on waste and save some money in the process.

Pre-cut kits take about 2 – 3 days to install, depending on the type of kit and your skill level. A typical sauna room kit contains tongue-and groove boards for the walls and ceiling, benches and wooden slat flooring all precut to your exact dimensions for easy installation. You can choose the type of heater, door, windows and accessories to build a custom designed sauna just the way you want it to look.

If you think a pre-cut kit is too complicated to install, purchase a pre-built sauna room. These rooms are freestanding saunas that can be built indoors or outdoors with the addition of a roof and exterior treatment of the walls. These so-called pre-built modular saunas can be installed within a few hours by anyone who follows the simple assembly instructions. Again, customization of the kit is possible as with the precut kit by choosing the type of heater and accessories you prefer, or you can just buy a complete sauna room with a matching and appropriately sized heater selected by the manufacturer.
